Collaborating with managers, networks, and professional leads, you will work across all our services to identify workplace wellbeing priorities and challenges, using this understanding, alongside workforce data and your expert knowledge, to influence our People Strategy projects and to work alongside colleagues in teams that contribute to the employee experience.

What will you be doing?Reporting to the Head of Workforce Policy and Wellbeing, you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of the wellbeing and engagement aspects of our People Strategy, and its associated action plans and projects. You will keep a close overview to ensure that all workforce projects and activities with wellbeing and engagement impact are joined up and align with the action plans, and with our values.
You will be ahead of the latest research-based workplace wellbeing initiatives and able to understand what would enhance our employment approach in a way that supports all colleagues to deliver our vision to create a greener, fairer and more caring Cambridgeshire. Collaborating with internal and external partners to understand needs within the organisation, you will design, implement and evaluate appropriate wellbeing and engagement activity; and use your expertise to develop our employment approach, to ensure that our actions as an employer maximise employee engagement and lead to people feeling well and being valued. Promoting our wellbeing offer and creating routes through which we can hear from colleague about their experiences is an essential part of the role, so you will have strong communications skills across a range of media and with a variety of audiences.
About youWith education and/or significant relevant work experience in employee wellbeing, engagement, or other employment-related discipline, you will share examples of how you have put workplace health and wellbeing theory into practice, as well as your experience of driving employee engagement.
You will demonstrate your experience of designing, delivering and evaluating workplace health and wellbeing interventions in a large organisation and of how you build credible and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to create impact. You will have the skills to communicate effectively via a range of media to connect colleagues with our wellbeing offer and create routes through which we can hear from people about their experiences of work.
You will be able to analyse relevant quantitative and qualitative data and use this to present well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations, that meet the needs of stakeholders across the organisation. You achieve high standards and understand the importance of discretion in relation to the employee experience. You value diversity, treat others with respect, and take responsibility for your own actions.
This role is hybrid in nature, with an expected mix of weekly attendance at our main office base in Alconbury Weald, remote working, and the ability to travel independently around the County, visibly promoting wellbeing and engagement focused activity across our range of work locations.
The role is full-time, and we support flexible working requests from day one, so we are open to discussing how different working patterns could be supported.
