NHS Kent and Medway offers a unique opportunity to help shape our health and care services and tackle some of the biggest challenges we are facing in our Integrated Care System. There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in the development of our People agenda!
We are now looking to recruit a Programme Director, People Programmes, an integral role within our People Directorate Senior Management Team offered on secondment or fixed term role for six months covering maternity leave.
Supporting the Director of System Workforce, this new role will see you building a multi-year complex change programme to support the delivery of the people programme as part of the Kent and Medway NHS Strategy.
You’ll need to bring to this role significant experience of delivering major, complex, multi-year projects and be highly skilled at creating and maintaining enthusiasm, momentum and grip across all programme workstreams. Adept at working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to maintain the purpose and pace of the programme, you will also be able to demonstrate outstanding programme management skills and a robust, rigorous approach to managing performance delivery.
You’ll be creating an outcomes framework and monitoring process to ensure that system and place people workstreams are developed in line with our strategy, delivering intended outcomes and realising benefits with learning shared and promoted across Kent and Medway and within wider workforce forums across England. Doing this effectively involves leading engagement with a wide range of workforce and education leaders to ensure the overall programme is delivering and you’ll have an active role both bringing best practice into Kent and Medway but also by sharing our best practice with others.
You will also lead the delivery of key programmes of work across the system as agreed with the Director of System Workforce. This will include acting as the Programme Director for the ICS Education and Careers Programme, creating a robust pipeline of local workforce through the expansion of education, training and routes into health and care careers across the ICS in line with the Long-Term Workforce plan.
An advocate of innovation including digital transformation, you’ll also work with some of our senior stakeholders across Kent and Medway scoping workforce opportunities.
If this sounds like you and you are interested in a further discussion, please contact Becca Bradd, Director of System Workforce at rebecca.bradd@nhs.net or Laura Copas, Deputy Director, System Workforce at l.copas@nhs.net
