We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic CBT therapists to join our developing psychology service embedded within our Adult Community Mental Health Service (West).
Psychological therapies for severe mental health problems are an integral part of community mental health transformation. The appointment of two additional CBT therapists is a step towards developing a psychological workforce that can offer timely access to evidence based psychological therapies.
The post is offered as a permanent band 7 CBT therapist, but we welcome applications from existing trainee CBT therapists who have already been accepted by, and are currently enrolled on, one of the Higher education England CBT for severe mental health problems courses.
If you are applying for the post as a trainee, this may be offered as a secondment from your substantive CWP contract and you will need to seek your managers approval before applying, or as a fixed term post.
If the post is offered as a Band 6 trainee post then the post will be for a fixed term for a maximum of 24 months.

To provide a high-quality specialist assessment, formulation and evidence-based therapy for adults who are under the care of West Cheshire CMHTs.
The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures and participate in clinical supervision in line with the expectations of the BABCP.
You will be committed to your own continuing professional development and have a role in supporting the development of the multi-disciplinary team as well as a critical awareness of the importance of building and maintaining good relationships with other services.
You will join a developing team of psychological professionals and receive professional development support from the Principal Clinical Psychologist/ Locality lead as well as regular CBT model specific clinical supervision from a suitably qualified CBT therapist.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
