This post sits within the Defence Leadership Centre (DLC) which forms part of the Defence Leadership and Business (DLaB) Group at the Defence Academy. DLAB
focuses on developing the Leadership, Business and Spiritual Edge required to maintain the strategic and operational advantage.

The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Learning and Development Professional is to maintain and deliver a blended methodology of existing Defence
specific D & I Programmes and Initiatives.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities. Throughout, the Command’s transformation programme is committed to following the MOD’s framework on managing and supporting people through the change process and places an emphasis on early and open consultation and engagement with the Command’s personnel and Trade Unions.

Job Description
The purpose of this HEO role is to deliver learning content for the Diversity and Inclusion elements of the Defence Leadership Centre (DLC) Portfolio. Whilst maintaining currency of coherent, relevant Leadership Training and Education (T&E) interventions which satisfies customer demand and maintains Defence Systems
Approach to Training (DSAT) compliance, continuous improvement, and quality management.
You are accountable to DLC Course Manager 8 for the responsibilities outlined below. They will be your Line Manager, DLC AH Delivery will be your countersigning officer.
You will develop and maintain the ability to deliver and/or facilitate DLC Leadership T&E interventions/portfolio or have an active plan in place to achieve this. Delivery of DLC portfolio is a combination of Virtual and face to face classroom delivery and facilitation.
You will ensure course material is maintained in accordance with DSAT and MTES, all course material is up to date with the correct version control annotation included and to be stored in the appropriate area of MS Teams.
You will ensure any pre-course and post-course submissions by delegates linked to course completion and professional accreditation are reviewed and completed in a
timely fashion, in line with individual iteration timescales.
You are to undertake CPPD to remain abreast of the latest developments in your Leadership subject area (Diversity and Inclusion) to ensure you can constructively
challenge and critique current practice.
You will complete and pass the training courses listed below to ensure you are qualified to deliver DLC T&E interventions.
You will be required to maintain a personal Continuous Professional Development diary.
DTTTV2 - within 3 months or equivalent if not already held

You will work collaboratively with the governance and assurance team to ensure systems of continuous improvement are in place within your area of responsibility
through analysis and review of evaluation feedback.
You will need to ensure that personal management information is accurately and timely recorded in accordance with DLC processes. When required, you will support wider Defence Academy by representing DLC at Exhibitions, Open Days, Conferences, Working Groups and Meetings as/when required.
You will provide D & I SME advice to wider Defence Academy and MOD.

Experienced in delivering D&I interventions.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments.
