Role Title: IT Programme Manager – Global Workplace Technology
Rate: £600/£650pd outside IR35
Role Summary: The IT Programme Manager will lead the planning, execution, and completion of the Global Workplace Technology Programme. This role requires collaboration with key IT stakeholders and enterprise-wide partners to ensure successful delivery of multiple workstreams. The position involves managing teams to resolve issues, maintain timelines and budgets, and achieve a standardized global service delivery model.
Purpose of Role: Working closely with senior leadership in Workplace Technology and Service Delivery, this role will oversee the Global Workplace Technology Programme, which will:
- Standardize IT Service Delivery on a global scale, including implementing a 24x7 outsourced service desk and associated processes based on the ITIL framework.
- Consolidate multiple ServiceNow instances into a unified global platform to support the standard process framework.
- Define the Digital Workplace model, including standardizing end-user devices, office technology, and management platforms.
- Deliver training and change management to global IT staff and the user community.
- Implement an efficient financial charge-back mechanism for global IT services.
Responsibilities:
Programme Management:
- Plan and manage multiple complex, regional, and cross-functional enterprise projects aligned with strategic and financial goals.
- Develop programme goals, timelines, and charters with key stakeholders, and create RACI matrices.
Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
- Manage diverse stakeholders and vendors, anticipate needs and risks, and conduct effective meetings via Teams and email.
- Build trust and collaborate effectively across teams and regions.
Programme Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain programme plans, identify resource needs, and manage schedules.
- Drive creative and practical solutions to issues through effective collaboration.
- Adapt to changing business requirements and manage flexible resources.
Operational and Financial Management:
- Ensure steady-state IT support for new technologies and comprehensive issue resolution post-implementation.
- Manage the programme’s financial health and establish an effective chargeback model.
Reporting and Communication:
- Provide professional and honest status reports tailored to the audience’s needs. Ensure regular updates using the appropriate format.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years in a Programme/Project Management role within a large organisation.
- Experience running RFP vendor selection processes.
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework is beneficial.
- Experience in industries like commercial real estate is a plus, though not required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or a certificate in project management.
Skills:
- Proficiency in programme management methods and tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong management and organisational abilities.
- Proven ability to motivate and manage large, diverse teams.
- Conflict management and resolution skills are advantageous.
