We're seeking dedicated Staying Well Practitioners to join our innovative team in Hastings. This role is co-produced with Southdown, a key VCSE partner in Sussex.
We welcome experienced and registered mental health professionals from various disciplines, including Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, and Occupational Therapists. Essential qualifications include registration with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England, alongside experience in crisis assessment and safety care planning.
Shift Details
- Monday to Friday: 4pm - 11pm
- Weekends: 2pm - 11pm
- Generous enhancements for evening and weekend shifts.
Incentives
- £4,000 incentive for Band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners.
- Relocation package up to £8,000 (terms and conditions apply).
Our service, based on a 'crisis café' model, offers a supportive and therapeutic environment for individuals over 18 experiencing a mental health crisis. This alternative to A&E provides a welcoming space with a responsive team of mental health workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Recovery Workers in delivering person-centered care.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment to reduce emotional and psychological distress.
- Assist in fostering independence and recovery for community mental health service users.
- Act as Trusted Assessors, ensuring smooth transitions into crisis services without the need for additional assessments, thus avoiding unnecessary A&E referrals.
Skills Required
- Experience in mental health services.
- Knowledge of psycho-social factors precipitating crises and impacting service user safety and wellbeing.
- Ability to offer psycho-social interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties.
- Understanding of safety factors for staff delivering person-centered care in crisis settings.
- Experience in crisis assessment and safety care planning.
