About The Role
CoppaFeel! is looking for an Engagement & Inclusion Assistant to take on an exciting role in supporting the growth and development of our youth engagement and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) work. As we continue to expand our youth engagement efforts, this role will be crucial in helping us achieve our strategic objective of being youth-focused and ensuring that both youth engagement and EDI are meaningfully and intentionally integrated into everything we do.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Engagement and Inclusion Manager to assist in the implementation and delivery of the youth engagement and EDI strategies. You will support the day-to-day operations of our youth and EDI programmes, playing a central role in driving our current three-year strategy forward. Your efforts will help ensure our chest-checking message reaches all young people in a way that is engaging, relevant, and accessible to everyone in our target audience.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work from the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to be in the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
You will report to the Engagement & Inclusion Manager and you will sit within the Education Team.
The Role
Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing, managing and sustaining great relationships with a range of youth focused and EDI organisations (including but not limited to schools, colleges, sixth forms, youth clubs, local authorities, grassroots organisations, communities and charities).
- Providing administrative support before, during and after engagement events and activities, such as processing expenses and travel claims, providing support on virtual meetings, finding and booking venues, ordering food, posting gifts and thank you cards.
- Coordinating the communications with the Youth Network and collaborating with other departments within CoppaFeel! to promote any new opportunities.
- Work closely with our Marketing team to develop assets for promotional use, including outreach and recruitment of the youth network on social media.
- Maintain accurate and up to date activity records on our new incoming CRM platform (Beacon).
- Capturing and recording data to support our evaluation of engagement programmes and the impact reporting of the wider Education team.
- Support the delivery of existing youth engagement projects such as our CoppaFeel! Challenge for college students.
- Provide support to the Engagement & Inclusion Manager as required for new and existing project delivery; such as administrative and outreach support for youth engagement and awareness programmes.
- Providing adhoc support across our EDI programmes and activities.
- Managing and responding to awareness and engagement enquiries through the Education inbox.
- Work to promote our EDI aims across our engagement work.
- Stay up to date and engage meaningfully with relevant thought pieces, trends, and movements in EDI and youth engagement through continued learning, self-reflection and training.
Essential
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- An affinity for youth engagement, community and social purpose work
- Experience championing underserved communities professionally and/or personally
- Excellent administrative skills
- Experience of providing support within a busy team
- Excellent organisational skills to manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent and compassionate communications skills
- Strong IT skills, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Ability to work unassisted and be self motivated
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
- Friendly and approachable with the ability to quickly build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels across the organisation and with external networks
Desirable
- Worked in youth engagement or similar roles
- Worked in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
- Lived experience as an individual from a marginalised background

Main Benefits, Terms & Conditions
Annual Leave: 22 days pro rata (plus public holidays). Additional Leave: 1 day of leave on our Founder’s Cancerversary, birthday leave, plus office closure over Christmas.
A hybrid of office and flexible, working Daily Flexi Time: starting anytime between 8am and 10am. Working from home up to 3 days per week (pro rata).
Training: We have a budget each year for employees training and development plans.
