We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Event Coordinator
The Role:
As Event Coordinator, you will assist the team with the planning and delivery of its busy schedule of outdoor challenge events, and will take ownership of your own small portfolio of events. The role will be varied, high paced and extremely rewarding. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, with an interest in, or experience of working within Event Management and / or the Charity Sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor events and sports and will be motivated by working in a small and expanding Business. Typical working hours are 37.5 hours per week.
• The role will be hybrid, in-person days in London once every weeks, with option for more.
• There will be the opportunity to work at several varied events across the event season, gaining invaluable experience in the full end to end process of event planning and delivery.
• There will be the opportunity to work across multiple varied events for different charity clients, including trek, running, walking and obstacle racing.
The role holder must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a larger events team.
Responsibilities:
· Event Management of a portfolio of walking or hiking events, supported by a Senior Event Manager.
· Sourcing, booking and managing a large range of suppliers for multiple events across our portfolio. This will involve negotiating competitive rates, understanding supplier values that align with GE and meeting varied deadlines as required by individual Event Managers.
· Creating and compiling event Health & Safety documents
· Creating and compiling event Operations documents
· Notifying and liaising with stakeholders and landowners associated with events.
· Building strong relationships with clients, venues and stakeholders, working closely with them to develop a close knit partnership.
· Developing strong relationships with freelance operations staff, ensuring they are well briefed, trained and managed for your individual events.
· Keeping budgets updated as required
· Contributing to Company creative ideation and innovation sessions
· Attending events on-site and assisting with their management.
· Contributing towards improving our social and environmental impact, to continually improve on our performance as a Certified B Corp.
· Being an advocate of our Company values and mission, ensuring our suppliers, staff, clients and volunteers are inspired and motivated to join us in our efforts.
Skills, Knowledge & Personal Characteristics Required:
Skills
• One - two years’ experience in Event Management or Operations (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent planning & organisation skills, including project planning, time management and prioritising skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in all tasks to deliver a high quality of work
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
• Full UK Driver’s Licence

Renumeration & How to Apply
Role Location: London / Hybrid. One day bi-weekly to be spent at our London office.
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
