The Audio team at Pan Macmillan are looking for an Assistant who’ll support the work we do across all Pan Macmillan’s imprints – from literary dramas to epic fantasies and children’s adventures to personal memoirs.
Your Team
The Audio team is a small and friendly group who are passionate about creating high-quality audiobooks. We are the champions of the spoken word at Pan Macmillan and work closely with the Editorial, Communications and Sales teams to publish award-winning audiobooks.
Your Role
The Audio Editorial Assistant is an essential part of the Audio team who will help the team navigate all areas of the publishing process, from acquisition to distribution.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Creating and checking metadata on in-house systems
- Checking audiobook files before delivery to retailers
- Supporting the Audio team with administration tasks
- Responding to queries from colleagues
- Sending scripts to actors, producers and studios and arranging paperwork for recordings
- Visiting studios during the audiobook recordings to assist with additional content
- Creating assets for social media and marketing
Essential Experience And Knowledge You’ll Need To Succeed
- An interest in audiobooks
- Excellent administration skills with the ability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time
- The ability to work in a small group as well as engaging with a wider team
- Be organised and able to work to deadlines
- Familiarity with Gmail and Google applications
- A willingness to learn our in-house database system

This is a full time, permanent role and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
