What is BBC Legal?
BBC Legal is the BBC’s in-house legal team that provides legal advice to the BBC - from editorial to Intellectual Property, information rights and more. BBC Legal is responsible for providing legal advice to the BBC and for developing and implementing the BBC’s legal strategy. We’ll do our best to allocate you to a team within Legal that fits your skills and interests, more information on placements options can be found below.
This opportunity will be based in our London office. If you live outside of this areas don’t worry, we can support you with travel and accommodation.
What You’ll Gain

Eligibility
BBC Legal play key supporting roles in helping to get global content that resonates and represents all corners of the world and different backgrounds to our audiences. It’s critical that our teams – and our content - reflect the broad demographic of the audiences who consume our content.
To be eligible for this scheme, you must meet at least 1 of the 3 diversity requirements below.
- Be from a black, Asian or minority ethnic background, and/or
- Be from a low income or working class background, and/or
- Are disabled (as defined by the Equality Act (2010)). This can include deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people and people with apparent or non-apparent conditions.
You Must Also
- Be studying OR have studied for a law degree
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be available for the whole 5 week internship period from 25th June - 31st July
- Be at least 18 years old
