Job Description
As the Brand Copywriter, you will shape and define the messages that set the tone for brand moments, using creative storytelling and impactful copy to evolve the way we connect with our customers and the COS community.
What you will do:
- Deliver compelling messaging for large-scale campaigns and moving images through thorough research, strategic thinking, competitor analysis, and a deep understanding of the COS brand identity.
- Ensure content aligns with both creative and commercial briefs, upholding the COS tone of voice.
- Innovate new ways to develop our tone of voice and storytelling, engaging our customers through various forms of copy—whether it's collection focuses, community and purpose-driven stories, or sustainability messaging.
- Report to the Global Copy Manager and contribute to shaping and communicating the copy strategy alongside them.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop ideas and deliver creative campaigns that align with their briefs while ensuring genuine environmental and/or social sustainability impact, in partnership with our sustainability team.
- Write creative copy across all customer touchpoints, including print and digital, ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Leverage your understanding of the COS aesthetic to ensure imagery and copy work harmoniously.
- Assist in creating copy for social media.
- Lead the development of brand communications, serving as a resource across the team.

What you need to succeed:
- In-depth understanding of the COS aesthetic and the synergy between imagery and copy.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills paired with exceptional creative talent.
- Agile and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in fashion writing and creating compelling copy for social media.
- Proven ability to create and implement innovative brand communications.
- Strong understanding of the commercial environment, with the ability to contribute creatively to driving brand awareness.
- Solid editorial background.
Additional Information
We offer an
11-month maternity cover contract, with an anticipated end date in mid-March. This hybrid role is based at our COS Head Office in London.
