London Borough of Havering
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment Opportunity
Pay - £52,584 to £56,646 per annum subject to final confirmation
The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit an
Equality Diversity and Inclusion Specialist (EDI) to work closely with senior leadership, employee forums, and partnership agencies to implement anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices in line with the organisation's vision and values, as well as fostering and promoting good relations within the authority which will enhance the equality of opportunities.
If successful in your application for the role of
Equality Diversity and Inclusion Specialist (EDI), London Borough of Havering, you will/will be:
- Lead on the delivery and strategic vision within HR and the workforce strategy to translate the EDI strategy and action plan into discrete projects/work plans with agreed timeframes and success measures.
- Lead the EDI Delivery Group, ensuring coordination, implementation and monitoring of agreed projects and work plans. To direct the EDI Delivery Group, plan and lead the programme of work for the EDI champions
- Interpret and provide regular updates to the Head of HR, EDI Delivery group and Leadership Team on progress against objectives. Prepare and present reports for, and attend Board and sub-committee meetings as required.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of a rolling programme of EDI activities which recognise and celebrate a wide range of protected characteristics.
- Lead on analysis, interpret, and present data to highlight issues, risks and to support decision making on EDI activity.
- Strategically develop and manage effective communication with internal and external stakeholders about EDI matters in conjunction with the corporate communications strategy.
