About The Role
We are looking for a motivated
Paralegal to join our dynamic
Private Client team in Bishop's Stortford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career, working on complex legal matters within a reputable and growing firm
.
Supporting an experienced legal team, this role will offer exposure to a range of client matters and cases. A desire to learn, develop and work as part of a busy and collaborative team will be essential for this role.
What This Role Would Include
- With appropriate supervision, providing clients with high quality and proactive legal advice.
- Assisting experienced lawyers with complex cases with potential to manage your own caseload under supervision as the role develops.
- Delivering legal services in a manner which is cost-efficient for both the client and the firm.
- To assist the firm in achieving its professional and commercial objectives.
Specifically in the area of the Private Client team, your role will include:
- Preparation of straight-forward wills and summary explanation.
- Administration of estates.
- General correspondence with Court of Protection, Office of the Public Guardian and Court Funds Office.
- Preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and other Powers of Attorney as may be required.
What We Are Looking For

- Proven experience as a Private Client Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills and demonstrates a high level of client service.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- An ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
