Job Purpose
As Inclusion, Wellbeing and Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Merseyside Police is a great place to work where people feel valued, can be themselves at work and positively contribute to our goal of putting our communities first.
In this role, you will help to shift mindsets, ways of working and challenge thinking to land significant cultural transformation across the force.
Leading a diverse and passionate team of both staff and police officers, some of the things that you will be accountable for include:
- Ensuring that we represent our communities in terms of richness of diversity.
- Embedding an inclusive culture, where people feel comfortable and confident to be themselves in a way that delivers the needs of our communities.
- Driving forward and embedding parts of our force strategy, people strategy and inclusion and culture plan.
- Maintaining an engaged, committed, and high performing workforce.

Knowledge & Experience
You will be a visible senior leader who is proactive, enthusiastic, and compassionate and has experience of influencing at a strategic senior level.
Stakeholder relationships are absolutely key to the success of this role, and you will have experience of establishing trusted relationships at all levels throughout an organisation.
You will have experience of handling sensitive personal matters in a way that demonstrates support and compassion.
You will be someone who has a track record for providing timely, accurate and supportive communications and have experience of working within a complex organisation.
Organisational Development experience and awareness of theories is useful for this opportunity.
Having knowledge and awareness of how to interpret data and to create measures for demonstrating the success of initiatives is essential.
