Supporting the Associate Director of Patient and Carer Experience in conceptualising, developing and delivering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives across all areas of the organisation in relation to both staff members and people accessing services.
Contribute to the development / review of the Trust's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) objectives, ensuring compliance with the requirements of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion duties in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and associated standards in order to meet contract compliance requirements, CQC standards and in accordance with best practice.
This role is Fixed term: 12 months
Ensure that the Trust’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) frameworks meet legal requirements and support its equality goals and reporting, including the Equality Act 2010, Equality Delivery System 2 (EDS2), Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES), Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES), and others from NHS England. Lead the development and implementation of the EDI agenda, advising the Trust Board and management.
Drive initiatives to improve the Trust’s capacity to meet the needs of its diverse staff and communities, raising awareness of EDI laws and best practices. Recommend actions to the Board, address risks, and develop initiatives to attract and retain diverse talent while promoting a culture of dignity and respect. Build strong relationships with external agencies and communities, sharing best practices, and involving the community in improving service experiences for diverse groups.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
