An opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic administrator to join the Corporate Governance Team within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). The role is ideally suited to a confident, capable and highly organised individual who can effectively support the Trust Board and governance processes of the Trust.
The role will primarily support the organisation of Board and Committee meetings for one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country. You will need to be confident in managing your own workload independently, be highly organised, with good attention to detail, and with the ability to work under pressure.
To be considered for this role you should have experience of working in a busy office environment, and have enhanced administrative skills including advanced minute taking, as well as experience of working with senior managers and external stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate that you have experience of working autonomously, showing initiative in decision-making, and understand how to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally.
The role will be based at our Trust Headquarters in Bristol.
Job Purpose
As Corporate Governance Officer, you will act as the interface between the Non-Executive Directors, Trust Board and Committee meetings and the rest of the hospital. Your duties will include:
- Working with the Corporate Governance Manager and the Head of Corporate Governance in the delivery of a comprehensive corporate governance service to the Trust Board at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
- Leading in the provision of a professional, confidential and high quality administrative and logistical support service to the Trust’s Board Meetings and Board Committee Meetings, to include agenda production and management, timely production of papers, advanced minute-taking and follow-up of actions as required from the meetings.
