Young People’s Health & Wellbeing Worker
Full-Time | Monday to Friday some evenings & weekends (Summer Events)
Location: Based in Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families? Join us at Insight as a Health & Wellbeing Worker and play a key role in supporting those affected by substance misuse or are struggling with their health & wellbeing.
In this dynamic outward facing role, you’ll work closely with young people and their families, helping them make informed choices and build resilience. Your work will be varied no two days are the same! As a Young Persons Worker, you'll be supporting a caseload of young people who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse or health & wellbeing. You'll work with them to access their needs, develop care plans, deliver a variety of treatments, and/or refer them to other specialist support when needed. You'll also be proactively engaging with young people to provide them with the support, training, education, and guidance they need to better understand the implication of the situations they may face and the decisions they may take, you’ll be at the heart of promoting positive change. You will also be providing workshops/assemblies in schools and youth clubs. We will welcome applications from people with Lived Experience, Youth Workers, College and University Leavers and people with transferable skills.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Manage a caseload of young people aged 11 - 25 providing tailored substance misuse/health & wellbeing support
✅Working with partners including Housing, Youth Justice, Look After Children’s Teams & Mental Health.
✅ Deliver engaging assemblies and workshops on the risks of substance use.
✅ Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records on our management system.
What We’re Looking For:
✨ Ideally experience of working with young people age 11 – 25 paid or voluntary.
✨ Confidence in delivering interventions, through one-to-one sessions.
✨ A proactive, compassionate approach to helping young people and families navigate challenges.
✨ Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences—from children/ teenagers/young adults to professionals.
