At Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the London Legacy Development Corporation has taken the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to develop a dynamic new heart for east London, creating opportunities for local people and driving innovation and growth.
This is an exciting moment in the Park's evolution. Over the next few years East Bank, our educational and cultural quarter fully opens, new and existing neighbourhoods will become more established, and new businesses and visitor attractions will be joining us on the Park. We're looking for an experienced and proactive Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer to help us tell the story of the Park and how it serves local communities, while also building stronger relationships with stakeholders.
Is it for you?
In this role you will work alongside one other Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer to support the delivery of the stakeholder and communications strategies. You will do this by executing work plans and producing engaging content for a range of internal and external channels.
You will prepare corporate communication such as internal messages, letters and corporate publications and be alert to new opportunities especially in the digital and media landscape. You will support in providing briefings for visits and political appearances and identify opportunities to engage a range of stakeholders. You will also work with the marketing team to identify relevant media and PR opportunities to support their work.
You will be a proactive, enthusiastic, and excellent communicator, and be confident in spotting opportunities and risks. You will have a good understanding of the media and political landscape with strong digital content skills. You will have an interest in politics and be comfortable playing a key role in organising events and dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.

- The salary for this post is £42,216 per annum LLDC operates a performance-based incremental pay scale.
- The probationary period for this post is for three months. Upon successful completion of the probation period, confirmation of employment will be given and the notice period will be one month.
- This is proposed as a full-time post working 37 hours per week, although this post will be considered for flexible working
- All employees are eligible to join our pension scheme, which is provided by the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per year, plus bank holidays, pro-rata for part-time employees. The LLDC leave year runs from 1st April until 31st March and the entitlement will be pro-rata from the individual's start date.
