Main duties of the job
The EDI - Health Inequalities Lead will work with the EDI team and leads across the Trust and wider partnership groups to ensure that the Trust is meeting all the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and the Statutory Duties relating to tackling Health Inequalities.
The post holder will support various programmes which contribute to the delivery of the Trust's EDI Strategy, State of Inequalities Plan and the Patient Carer Race Equalities Framework (PCREF), Equality Delivery System Domain 1.
These programmes aim to improve access, patient experience and the outcomes of
people living mental health and with long-term conditions in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey whilst, reducing health inequalities. It will include action to reduce disparities in restrictive practice, the occurrence of long-term conditions and multi-morbidity and optimise outcomes, prevent complications.
This role involves working with divisions and local communities to understand the population being provided for, identify any gaps in relation to access to services and implement actions to address these.
The post holder will monitor and respond to trends related to inequality in service provision in terms of access, experience and outcomes.
The post holder will take day to day responsibility for key work-streams that support the delivery of safe, compassionate care with positive patient experience at the heart of the care delivery.
