About The Role & Team
To achieve the overall brand attendance, room nights and UK & Ireland revenue goals for Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World, and Disney Cruise Line by managing the social media channels and leading the social media team. This role will be the main point of contact between the brand strategy and social teams. Ensure flawless execution of campaigns and synchronised / timely campaign communication across social media disciplines. Manage and work with relevant (internal and external) agencies to deliver campaigns. Assist and report to the Senior Manager, Creative, Audience Planning and Distribution, to develop the annual operating plan for social media marketing. This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.
What You Will Do
- Manage and implement the social media strategy for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line in the UK and Ireland, providing insights to the Disneyland Paris central team.
- Responsible for carrying out campaign and social media organic analysis using third party data and social performance measuring tools. Share updates in International Communication Plan meetings to wider business. Make recommendations based on insights data for future Annual operating planning
- Manage broad range of disciplines within social media marketing, including: overseeing organic account management, creation of assets for social advertising campaign creative, organic assets, platform strategy, contracted content and Influencer marketing, moderation, social listening as well as analytics and insights
- Work with Senior Manager, Creative, Audience Planning and Distribution and strategy team to set the direction and execution of DDI social media strategy for the UK and Ireland and input in to the annual operating plan process to ensure that there are innovative social campaigns to drive engagement
- Oversee content development, devising best-in-class creative for paid and organic campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of content and approving in accordance with brand and legal guidelines
- Develop contracted Influencer marketing activations that delivers content and meets local needs and oversee major Influencer campaigns including contracting, negotiation and, where necessary, hosting talent on media trips
- Where necessary managing social media content shoots. Acting as Director/Producer and offering best practice for content delivery, both with in-house and external creative teams, talent, agencies and international stakeholders.
- Manage social reporting, covering a number of reports and trackers across social media platforms and broader social ecosystem, setting and tracking core growth and engagement KPIs
- Develop a robust UK community management process and formalise responsibilities between platform owners, external agency, and internal stakeholders e.g. Guest services
- Manage and track the social media budget covering agency fees, content production and contracted content, and Influencer activations
- Develop and strengthen the DDI brand within the TWDC organisation in order to identify opportunities for cross promotion
- Manage and nurture a dedicated social team (3 x Executives, 1 x Content Producer, 1 x Intern) to ensure remain motivated and driven to deliver against objectives.
- Ensure team members are aware of expectations and have clear and honest feedback on an ongoing basis
- Promote and maintain an inclusive workplace, championing diversity and inclusion and make use of available resources to extend knowledge and best practice
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in social media/content marketing
- Extensive experience of managing and developing a high performing team to drive results on major marketing campaigns
- Working knowledge of online analytic suites such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Facebook insights, etc.
- Solid understanding of broader marketing and media disciplines
- Experience of working with agencies and external social media communities
- Budget management experience
- Proven experience working, and thriving, in a matrix organisation
- Proven experience of collaboration across departments to achieve joint objectives
- Exceptional organisational, project management and communication skills to balance marketing programs across three brands for optimal execution and success
- Demonstrated strategic and tactical skills related to implementation of social marketing campaigns
- Proven ability to influence throughout all levels of a matrix organisation
